The meeco Group supports a scout camp of the German Association of Protestant Girl Guides and Boy Scouts (VCP) from July 29 August 7, 2010 in Almke, Germany (near Wolfsburg). With 5,000 campers, this environmentally self-sustainable scout camp is the largest ever in Germany. For the Guides and Scouts at this unique camp, sustainability is more than just a modern phrase: to leave a place a little better than you found it is a central premise of Scouting.

The meeco Group has provided five of its portable energy solutions sun2goTM to be used at the campsite in several educational projects as well as to generate neutral electric energy to power hand tools, laptops and to charge mobile phones. Also, The meeco Group has invited the clever winners of the camps sustainability contest to take a ride in its SunCarrier hot-air balloon. Please find below some pictures of the exciting balloon journey.

The meeco Group´s motivation for backing the scout camp is to promote the usage of renewable energy and to help young people explore and learn about the needs and possibilities of their present and future sustainability. By supporting education, The meeco Group continues as an ever-present and innovative force in the renewable energy field.
