Executive Board meeting with Core Technical and Projects Team in meeco office Alicante, Spain

The Executive Board of The meeco Group and its Core Technical and Projects Team gathered this week in the group’s Spanish office in Alicante to discuss its future business strategies and processes as well as to review the current status of projects and products of the group.

The negative development of the solar business in the “old” markets in Europe, which has been a challenge for all market participants in the past months and years has been very fruitful for The meeco Group, which has strategically targeted its business to developing markets such as Asia, Africa and Latin America. Those markets now turn out to be the basis for the future success of the group and the whole team has re-confirmed to tackle those markets with best motivation, professional diligence and full force.

Under the guidance of Ms. Corinna Fischer, Business Development Director of The meeco Group, twelve team members, including the Sales Director and member of the Board of Directors, Dieter Trutschler, the Chief Technical Officer, Thomas Beindorf and the Chief Financial Officer, Konstantin Wolf, discussed and reviewed strategies for new products, turnkey solutions, pricing, marketing as well as regarding processes and responsibilities.

Special attention was paid to projects in Pakistan, India, the Indian Ocean as well as in East Africa, where The meeco Group is offering photovoltaic roof as well as ground mounted installations as Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) as well as under Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) to industrial customers, which are suffering from not reliable grid electricity as well as from increasing power tariffs. For example The meeco Group with its subsidiary meeco Services Pakistan Ltd. and oursun Solar Power Ltd. as well as with dedicated project companies will be installing and operating solar installations on the roofs of the said professional customers and sell to them reliably and carbon neutral produced electricity as per Power Purchase Agreements. PPAs for a total capacity of 3 MWp have already been signed and further up to 5 MW will be expected until beginning of 2014.

All colleagues enjoyed the hospitality of the Spanish colleagues as well as the warm climate of Alicante even in November and the nice office premises of meeco Services Espana office.
