meeco Equestrian Team rider came second in the 1.30 metres class

The “Real Club de Polo de Barcelona” provided the The meeco Equestrian Team, sponsored by the clean energy provider The meeco Group, with best conditions for two successful show jumping weekends. In June the meeco riders participated in the two CSN 4* organized in the capital of Catalonia.

“Particularly our Rheinländer mare Suncarrier Rubina and our Holsteiner mare OurSun Cariana stood out due to their remarkable jumping technique, which has resulted in achieving several clear rounds and very good classifications”, declares the team trainer Wilhelm Bettinger, who assists and coaches the team. “During the course of the competition Suncarrier Rubina kept on boosting her performance and did great steps forward.”

On the first day the mare competed in the 1.20 metres class against 56 competitors and reached the 15th place without knocking any poles. The following day Suncarrier Rubina could prevail against even more competitors, namely 75, in the same class and got the twelfth classification. She jumped the same height on the third competition day and made it amongst the top ten with the ninth rank out of 63 competitors. Even this great achievement could be topped by an eighth place at the second show jumping weekend.

Another outstanding result represented the second place of Oursun Cariana in the 1.30 metres class. The Holsteiner mare prevailed against 63 competitive horses and jumped to the second rank in this class. On the penultimate competition day, she stuck out in the challenging 1.40 metres class, where she jumped to the sixth place with a clear round. “I hope, that our team holds on to this great development at the next competition in Murcia”, concludes team coach Wilhelm Bettinger. “We will prepare well and undergo an intense training.”
