Currently there are two race series for electric motorbikes. The eGrandPrix of TTXGP was founded in 2009 and is the older of the two. In November 2009, the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme FIM founded its own e-Race series called the e-Power International Championship. Unlike the private TTXGP the e-Power International Championship is the racing series of the official World Federation of Motorsport FIM.
