The meeco Group supports and congratulates the German Association of Christian Girl Guides and Boy Scouts (VCP), which is part of the worlds largest youth movement, for creating the 5,000 member Camp Bundeslager, the first environmentally self-sustainable camp of this size in Germany. The camp will take place in Almke, Germany (near Wolfsburg) from July 29 August 7, 2010. The Volkswagen AG and the City of Wolfsburg are also generous sponsors of the VCP.

The meeco Group will provide the camp with five sun2go^TM which will be used as a learning tool in educational seminars as well as to generate climate neutral electric energy to operate the campsite (e.g., power tools, laptops, mobile phones). For the guides and scouts, environmental self-sustainability is more than just a modern phrase: to leave a place a little better than you found it is the VCP philosophy. As part of their commitment to this philosophy, the guides and scouts will participate in a sustainability contest while at camp. The meeco Group will award the clever winners with a ride in The meeco Groups SunCarrier hot-air balloon for a panoramic view of their beautiful country.

The camp will provide The meeco Group with valuable feedback about their hand-on experience with the sun2go^TM. Claude André Tueller, The meeco Groups Director of Middle-East & Africa has become a member of the Swiss Business Council (SBC) within the United Arab Emirates. The meeco Group headquarters is located in Zug, Switzerland.

Established in 1996, The Swiss Business Council (SBC) is a non-profit organization, licensed by the UAE Chambers of Commerce & Industry. The Mission of the SBC is to provide a forum where Swiss business executives and other business executives with Swiss interests may identify, discuss and pursue common interests regarding their activities in the Middle East. Since its creation, the SBC has successfully promoted the interests and activities of companies and individuals with connections between the UAE and Switzerland through independently managed branches in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Through his important role on the SBC, Claude André Tueller presented to the entire council an overview of The meeco Groups business areas, primarily its oursun renewable energy solutions. The Alternative Energy Congress was held in Pedro Juan Caballero, located in the Paraguayan Department of Amambay. The Congress assembled in the Salón Auditorio Alberto Morelo under the leadership of Amambays Prime Minister, Juan Bartolomé Ramírez, the Minister of Energy and Mines of Paraguay, and the Director of the largest hydroelectric power facility in the world, ITAIPU.
